- Blend door actuator is changing from hot to cold. The coolant level is full. When driving the heat is blowing good hot air but when you stop and idle the temperature starts going back down not allowing it to get up to temp and the heater core hoses are not getting as hot as they should. since heat is coming through when driving but not staying i recommend replacing the lower engine coolant thermostat to be able to keep engine up to temp for consistent heat. Engine temp is supposed to be at 195 but will only get up to around 160.
